Parish Priest:

Father Ephrem M. Cordova, the son of Manuel and Frances Cordova, was born on October 4, 1959 in Phoenix, Arizona, where he received his early education.

Father grew up in South Phoenix area of the Valley of the Sun.   Attended grade school at Adeline Grey, attended junior high school at Herrera and attended St. Marys' secondary school.

During his senior year Father transferred to St. Michael's High School in Spokane, Washington, in order to attend a Traditional Catholic High School.   This school was conducted by the Fathers and Brothers of the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen.

In 1977, known as Manuel F. Cordova, he entered the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen as a Religious Brother, where he took the name of his patron, Saint Ephrem.   He made final profession in 1982.   In 1984, he entered the Scholasticate at Mount Saint Michael and completed his studies for the priesthood at Mater Dei Seminary in Omaha, Nebraska.   After the completion of his philosophical and theological studies, he was ordained according to the traditional rite of the priesthood by Most Rev. Oliver Oravec of Czechoslovakia on Ember Saturday, March 10, 1990.

Father Ephrem Cordova was assigned to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Phoenix, Arizona.   In addition to serving the parish in Phoenix throughout the week, for nine years Father had traveled to San Diego every Sunday to offer the Latin Mass.   He now travels to Tucson every Sunday to celebrate the Mass, administer the Sacraments, and instruct in Catholic doctrine.
